It’s time to revel in the beauty of the spring festival. Welcome a brand new year with stunning floral lanterns and beautiful blooms lining pathways filled with traditional crafts, prosperity trinkets, home décor, modern and traditional apparels, delicious festive delicacies and so much more. Brighten up your Chinese New Year celebrations further with exciting cultural activities and workshops lined up throughout the Gong Xi Fa Cai festivities that’s brought to you by Mid Valley Megamall and HSBC from 6 January till 5 February 2017.

This Chinese New Year, bring your entire family over to participate in our array of fun activities.

With every RM50 spent in a single receipt (FREE for HSBC credit cardholders), you are entitled to enrol a maximum of 2 pax FREE of charge into one workshop (i.e. 1 receipt = 1 workshop = 2 pax). Registration is based on a first-come-first-served basis. Fill up the form at our Information Counter at Centre Court, Ground Floor, and we'll give you a confirmation call one week prior to the event.

Fish Maw Mushroom Stew Recipe

INGREDIENTS

Chicken Drumettes and Wings - 6pcs each
Garlic - 10 Cloves
Ginger - 1 inch
Water - 700ml
Abalone Scallop Sauce - 4 Tablespoons
Sweet Peas - 150g
Scallops - 5 Pieces (Big)
Fish Maw - 150g, blanched
Salt - 1 Tablespoon
Cooking Oil - 3 Tablespoons

To Garnish :
Coriander
Sliced Red Chillies
***Optional : Black Soy Sauce to add some colouring.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Marinate chicken drumettes and wings with salt.
2. Put in oil, garlic cloves, and ginger slices into a pot and stir fry on medium heat.
3. Put in chicken and mushrooms.
4. Then, add in 700ml of water.
5. Close the lid and let it simmer on medium heat for 15 minutes.
6. After 15 minutes, add in sweet peas, scallops, and fish maw into the stew.
7. Give it a quick stir. Close the lid and let it simmer on medium low heat for 45 minutes.
8. Garnish with coriander and sliced chillies and the stew is ready to serve.
